Our Facilities

The Furs has been open since 2002 and welcomed new owners, Kate and David in 2018 who continued in offering the same first class service and high standards to customers old and new. We are situated in Gorleston-on-sea, Great Yarmouth.

Our units are licensed to hold 1-4 cats from same house hold.

All units benefit from heating, with shelving, beds, toys, scratch pads inside and each has a UV protected run attached. All units are accessed via a safety corridor, where we have CCTV for the security of the guests.

We clean every unit daily and once a cat leaves the cattery we deep clean the unit and all of the bedding and soft furnishings are washed and the unit freshly prepared, ready for the next arrival.

All cats are given plenty of fuss and attention during their stay and are monitored closely to ensure that we are aware of any problems and we can react to situations quickly and accordingly.

We are happy to keep you updated during your cat’s stay with us via posts on our Facebook page (by agreement) or by phone or email and  you are welcome to call us anytime during your holiday to check in.

We supply one top brand food in wet and dry. If your cat requires a specific food, please supply enough for your cat’s stay. If your cat has any specified dietary needs we ask you to inform us.

We encourage you to bring in beds, blankets, toys etc – anything that your cat is used to having around.

If your cat is receiving treatment, we are happy to give medication as prescribed. If veterinary treatment is required as part of their treatment or if they become ill we will always try to use your own vets but in cases where we cannot we will take them to our own vets.

Collection and delivery of your cat can be arranged at additional cost, this will be quoted on request depending on your location.

Please note: Cats must be up to date with all vaccinations, confirmation must be produced upon arrival. We ask that your cats are also up to date with flea and worm treatments. We do not accept male cats over 6 months old that have not been neutered, due to the likelihood of spraying.
